Not all waiting rooms are the same. Some are filled with fear – like waiting to hear the results of a medical test. Some are filled with anticipation – like waiting for the birth of a baby. Some uncertainty – like waiting to be called for a job interview. Still others, filled with boredom – like waiting to get the car oil changed. Waiting is a part of life. Waiting is also central to faith.
For thousands of years, people waited for the Messiah to come, and we now wait for Messiah Jesus to return. In fact, Advent is the time of year where we remember that Jesus came, but we also eagerly anticipate and long for Him to come again. It’s almost like life is one big waiting room that we are all a part of. So, what’s this “waiting room” like for you?
Join us during this Advent series as we once again center ourselves on the themes of Advent and discover how to wait with hope, joy, love and peace.
